The Metro Exodus Expansion Pass will contain two main story DLCs for the game, which will be dedicated to new stories from the world of Metro. Instead of Artyom, players will see the world through the eyes of an entirely new character and one of the Spartan Rangers, Aurora’s only American, Sam.

The Two Colonels - Summer 2019

Just beneath the surface, beneath the dead city of Novosibirsk, Colonel Khlebnikov returns home to his son Kirill for the New Year.

But all is not well with the humans here: the goo continues to consume the tunnels, mutant attacks seem to be intensifying, and the precious “green” that protects humans from radiation poisoning is running low. To ensure any of the humans survive, those in charge may have to take drastic measures...

Following Khlebnikov’s journey and experiences during his final days in Novosibirsk, recreated by Colonel Miller a year later, players can expect classic Metro story-driven gameplay in this new linear chapter, complete with brand new weapons, a deadly flamethrower, claustrophobic environments, and an all-too-familiar hair-raising tension.

Sam´s Story - Early 2020

A US Marine stationed at the Moscow embassy before the bombs dropped, Sam has long dreamed of returning to his homeland and perhaps finding his family alive. The prospect seemed impossible in the dark tunnels of the metro, but when the Spartans discovered that Moscow was not the only city left alive after the war, the hope no longer seemed so foolish.

Sam departs the Aurora in search of a way back to the US, arriving in the remains of Vladivostok´s tsunami-ravaged ports, ruined industrial buildings, and crumbling residential areas. To complete his journey, Sam will find that he will need all the tactics he has learned so far to survive, as his surroundings prove far more challenging than expected.

Players will forge Sam´s path through the survival sandbox landscape of Vladivostok as they take an all-new journey across the wastelands of post-apocalyptic Russia
